How to Hack Myspace

Before I started this blog, I had spent days searching Google and surfing the net trying to find tips on how to hack myspace to make my page look nice and interesting. So much stuff out there was either pure crap or so difficult to follow that I ended up frustrated and it was difficult to find just the right info. So, I’ve started this blog to help others find quality stuff on "pimping" myspace.

I searched online through Goolge, Yahoo and Amazon but still could not find anything that was exactly what I wanted - which was simply something that was easy to understand and implement. I didn’t want to spend hours putting code into my profile or searching hundreds of layout sites looking for a design that fit my style. And I wanted something that was also easy for people landing on my page to read. Then, after searching everywhere, I finally found a book that explained how to hack myspace in a way that was easy for someone like to me understand. Even though I’m pretty technically minded, I’m not a developer and know nothing about code.

Finally I had the tips and tools I needed to make myspace unique for me. To check this information out for yourself, simply click on any of the links you see here on this page and that will take you directly to the same material I used to hack myspace.

I’m still in the process of writing everything up the way I want it and testing it in various browsers to make sure nothing breaks, but once I have it finished, I will post a link to my page for you to check it out if like. Not that it will be anything special, but at least it won’t be the same ol’ page everyone else has!

Step 1: Login to your profile.

Step 2: Click on the "Edit Profile" link.

Step 3: Paste this piece of code into the beginning of any section.

Step 4: Be sure to save your work! 

You’re done!

 Now you can resize the images so they don’t exceed the boundaries of the section they’re in.

I’ve been out searching the ‘net for good articles, posts and misc. info on myspace hacks and I found this post from April of 2006 on MikeIndustries.com - http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2006/04/hacking-myspace-layouts It’s called "Hacking a More Tasteful Myspace" and gives the reader some tips on creating CSS that is appealing and how to upload it to your myspace.

**UPDATE 8/24/07** - Mike’s blog seems to be having some issues and can’t access the above referenced post. I’ll update again once it’s fixed and also will be posting some additional content this afternoon so stay tuned.
